How often does a piano need to be tuned?

 

Most piano manufactures recommend tuning twice per year. If the piano is heavily used, or if it has recently been moved, or has not been tuned in a long time, it may require extra tunings to get back up to good shape.

How much does it cost to tune a piano?

 

$160 per tune. 

$200 pitch raise - if your piano is more than 10 cents off (typically due to not having had it tuned in a long time). ​

$150 per tune if you pay ahead for a twice annual tune of the same piano. $140 for quarterly tunings.

$150 if you are a current student, $140 if you subscribe to twice annually.
